Ron Mueck is an Australian hyperrealist sculptor working in Great Britain. He was as a model maker and puppeteer for children’s television and films, notably the film Labyrinth and the Jim Henson series The Storyteller.
His work is stunning, and captivating. My wife and I saw a piece at ArtBasel Miami and we couldn’t keep from looking back at it as we moved on to another piece.

Amazing work by Kumi Yamashita. She works with type and other objects to create shadows that seem like they have a life of their own.
